EPAD Platform - Lockdown Lots (23/6/21)

Actor Liz Strange and Film-maker Lucas Chih-Peng Kao will use the next EPAD Platform to test their interactive online bidding show Lockdown Lots, a Zoom-specific, pre-apocalyptic auction game, where viewers can bid absolutely anything they have to compete for the most in-demand items of the day.

Lockdown Lots was conceived during the first lockdown. It developed from an idea about exploring what people really wanted, and what they were willing to give up to get it. Devised by Charmaine Gilbert, Liz Strange, and Lucas Chih-Peng Kao, it was first presented at the Surge Cabaret in June 2020. This second performance for and with the EPAD network will help bring it up to date for the situation in June 2021.

Liz and Lucas are keen to gather feedback from attendees to inform the further development of Lockdown Lots and are looking for a producer who may be able to help them move the project forward.
